Lafarge has developed a range of innovative products, materials and services which offer superior performance and durability whilst reducing our carbon footprint.

able to... have over 70% of our cementitious products produced, now containing CEMII or CEMIII – reducing CO2 emissions. Phoenix cement, through the addition of 'fly-ash', has reduced embodied CO2 compared to CEMI Portland cement by up to 26%.

able to... introduce more environmentally friendly packaging for our cement products. Our ground breaking tear and weather resistant plastic packaging has significantly reduced wastage and replacement.

Lafarge’s Phoenix Cement is made using low carbon fly ash. The blend of the materials reduces the amount of primary aggregate used and therefore CO2 expended during production - making it a greener alternative to ordinary Portland cement products.
